We proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ— his life, death, and resurrection— as the foundation for our faith and the center of all we do. 

We preach God’s Word, Holy Scripture, as the supreme authority that reveals to us the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

We worship the Triune God as whole people, so our praise should be marked by informed minds and passionate hearts.

We are called to be followers of Christ, so our formation includes theological grounding, active participation, and a pursuit of growth.

We believe that we should do all things with excellence, so we aim to be attractive without being attractional.

We invest in multi-generational relationships, high commitment, accountability, and service as the pattern of normal Christian life.

We follow the Good Shepherd, who gives his church undershepherds who are servants, not celebrities.

We rely on the God of heaven and earth, who empowers, provides, and moves among us as we pray for his will to be done.

We go and make disciples of Jesus Christ from our neighborhoods to the nations, believing the Great Commission is for churches.

We believe God rules and reigns, and this is incredibly good news. He is the one in control of our lives, our circumstances, and our eternal destiny. As children of God, we rest in the knowledge that our good Father is the one who holds us to the end. This recognition should fuel our grace-empowered effort to grow in godliness, proclaim the gospel to the lost, and walk in faith day by day, no matter what.

We believe our faith is received, embracing the creeds of the Early Church and the confessional impulse of the Reformers. We hold to historic reformed Baptist theology, among which we fully affirm the “Five Solas” of the Protestant Reformation: that we are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, according to Scripture alone, for the glory of God alone.

We believe baptism follows conversion by immersion in water as a covenant sign for those who are in Christ. Baptism is a church’s act, given to those who are professing new life in Jesus as they enter into the covenant community of a local church. As a church, we only admit to membership and the Lord’s Supper those who have professed faith in Jesus and received the ordinance of baptism.

We believe men and women are made in the image of God, equal in essence, honor, and value, and distinct in their design. Both men and women are equipped and gifted for service and leadership in the life of the church and in the home; however, Scripture has reserved the office of elder for biblically qualified men. In all, men and women both are visible partners in the life of the church—deploying their diverse gifts for the common good as equal and complementary partners.

We believe that God has designed his church to promote the glory of God in the world and the flourishing of his people. He has ordained two offices in the church—elders, who are servant leaders, and deacons, who are leading servants. God has reserved formal authority for leadership in the church in the elders, who lead through their teaching of God’s Word and prayer. They are the primary authority, while the congregation acts as the final authority. Thus, we are ruled by Christ, led by our elders, and accountable to our congregation.

We believe that the Bible is given to reveal God to his people, supremely in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Since all of the Bible is for this end, we are committed to preach God’s Word expositionally—explaining what God has said, verse by verse, to shine light on the biblical story that points us to Jesus.

We believe the Bible is sufficient for living faithfully in any time and place. Therefore, we are committed to living all of life under the implications of the gospel. This includes upholding the sanctity of life, affirming a Christian sexual ethic, and opposing unrighteous ideologies and behaviors like racism and abuse. We intend to bear witness with our whole lives to the beauty of the gospel.
